秋田を拠点に活動する画家。
自然の中にある静かな境界や、目に見えない空間の気配をテーマに絵画を制作している。

近年は深い青や余白を用いた抽象的な構造の中に、極細の線や揺らぎを重ね、
「通り抜ける門」や「間（あわい）」のような空間を描くことを試みている。

2010年代よりカフェやレストランの壁画制作、個展やグループ展を各地で開催。
音楽ライブでのライブペイントや空き家空間での壁画制作、マルシェの企画など、
地域の文化や人の営みと交わる形で表現活動を続けてきた。

またデザイナーとして、店舗ロゴや看板、パッケージ、CDジャケットなどの制作も手がけ、
美術館ミュージアムショップのロゴデザインなども担当。

現在はアート作品の制作とともに、
オンラインショップ 「かきねの木戸 / kakinenokido」 を通じて作品や物を届けている。

Sayaka Toyoshima is a painter based in Akita, Japan.

Her work explores quiet thresholds found in nature — the subtle space between the visible and the unseen.
Using deep blues, open white space, and delicate lines, she creates abstract structures that evoke gates, passages, and the in-between space known in Japanese as “awai.”

Since the early 2010s she has held exhibitions across Japan and created murals for cafés, restaurants, and public spaces.
Her practice also includes live painting with musicians and collaborative projects that connect art with local communities.

Alongside her artistic work, Toyoshima has designed logos, signage, and packaging for various shops and cultural spaces, including museum shops and independent businesses.

She currently shares her artworks and objects through the online shop “kakinenokido.”
